Here you might someday find a number of fascinating tutorials on accomplishing the different tasks that studentweb has been set up to facilitate. From connecting to studentweb, to writing your website, we've got bits of information and instructions to help you get started. Of course, realize that you could go to a bookstore and buy a 300+ page book on any of these subjects, so don't expect the tutorial to be the end all definitive guide. At the end of each tutorial, we will try to provide links to more related information. The internet is full of good stuff, especially when you're researching computer related topics. The number of tutorials, and their usefulness, is currently fairly limited. Belive it or not, tutorials aren't the most fun and exciting type of webpage to write, so it's hard for us to actually sit down and focus long enough to write one. And we're also fairly smart and experienced computer users, so it can be difficult for us to explain things in a way that a computer novice can understand. So if any of the tutorials are confusing or nonsensical, please feel free to email us and complain. It's our fault the tutorials suck, not yours. If you want to learn something, I would be more than happy to sit down and try and explain it to you. And that way I could write the tutorial at the same time that I explain it to you. So don't hesitate to e-mail me, with any requests you have. I promise not to bite. |
