Customizing and Finishing Up...

Blogger comes with a basic, pre-assigned layout, but users can easily change this with Blogger’s “layout” tool.

When logging in from Blogger’s main site, click the “layout” button, located next to “manage: posts”.

This will pull up a skeleton-view of your blog’s basic layout. With the click of a button, you can select from a dozen or more “themes” with different color schemes and layouts, or create your own. Creating your own can be tricky and time-consuming, but it allows for personal customization. Keep in mind that some fonts and colors are simply unappealing and virtually unreadable.

Users can also rearrange the layout and design of their blog with Blogger’s “layout” function by simply clicking on a box or area of the site and dragging it to a new position.

Even after you’ve picked your theme, colors, and layout, you are free to go back and change them at any time. Even if you feel like starting over from scratch, Blogger offers an option that will allow you to reset the original “default” settings of your blog with little effort.

Now that you’ve created your blog, the only question left is: What will you blog about? You can write your own personal thoughts, ideas, stories, report news, or do just about anything else. The only limit is your imagination.
