Apexcone HID's

Ok before I get started I've found a diagram that explains how the HID's are wired, thatks to www.mazda3forums.com.

Mine do not have the relay wire. They connect straight from the factory headlight plug, directly to the ballastbut this is so you can see how they are layed out before I install them. With this particular install I'm only going to need a flat head screwdriver, because Apexcone has already supplied the zip-ties as well as the industrial strength double-sidded tape. Once you are ready to begain you need to unplug the low beam headlight bulb and remove the rubber dust cap.

Now that you have taken the plug off of the bulb you need to push down on the metal bracket and then push up while still applying pressure. This releases the stock bulb and now you can put the new bulb in its place.

Once you put the new bulb in the two wires with round plugs sticking out plug into the balast wires which also have round connectors.

The "RED & BLACK" wires that connect to the factory headlight connection connect directally into the ballast itself which for the passanger side I have mounted directially above the headlight.

I chose this spot to mount the other ballast because it was easy and out of the way plus I get to see the Apexcone logo!!!!      ...lol.

And the outcome!!!!

I was really plaesed with the outcome and after a little research I"ve found that the average HID puts out about 3500 lumens. This set of HID's puts out over 40% more lumens, which is alot and it really shows on the road.....lol. I can pull up to a BMW or any other car that comes with stock HID's and I can hardley evern see thier light infront of them because my light output is just way way brighter....Thanks Apexcone!!!!!
