The 1st Mod:
Its not much yet, but i have lots of mods to come!!! The first thing that i decided to change about the car, was that the cup holder was just a regular cup holder that came from the stock manufactuar. so i added a led strip that wraps around halh of the cup holder so that it lights up red just like the rest of the car's lights at night .
What i needed:
To do this i needed to go under the glovebox and take the gaurd off so that i could see the fuse box, then i took the cover off of the fuse box and located the fuse that controlled the cigarette lighter. then you take the fuse out and place it aside while you take out the cup holder itself
To take the cupholder out, lift the center console arm rest up and pull firmly on the little tab the is closeest to the front of the car. It will come out very easily and when you do this it will be best if you rais the e-brake so that you can lift the cupholder out with ease.
Once you have the cupholder out your going to take the led light strip and wrap it around each holder how ever you want so that you can still open and close the cover.....
Now that you have the lights mounted you can solder the power wire to the very top of the lighter fuse and once this is done you can take someelecrtical tape and wrap it so that the solder doesnt come off or get damaged.
All thats left is to secure the ground wire to a good place and run the wire with the fuse on ir to the fuse box and put the fuse back in. after this just st the cupholder back where it belongs and push down on it and now when ever the car is on the lights will come on by themselves!!!!!!
