- I would like to thank all of the webmasters out there who have recognized
the scholarly merit of the Mesoamerican Photo Archives project, including
the Scout Report
for the Social Sciences and Suite101.com,
both of which publish scholarly links and give awards for solid academic
web sites. An additional thanks goes out to Links2Go,
who notes that Mesoamerican Photo Archives is "one of the most relevant
pages related to Mesoamerica on the web today". And finally, thanks
to McGuinness Designs, creator of the Golden
Pyramid Award for design excellence in Precolumbian web sites.

- NEW DOMAIN NAME - WEBMASTERS, PLEASE READ
In anticipation of my eventual graduation from Tulane, I have begun to
switch this website to a new Domain Name. The web page itself has not moved,
and all internal links will still work. But please change all of your bookmarks,
or links on your web pages, to the following URL: www.mesoamerican-archives.com
This will insure that links and bookmarks will not be broken when I move
to a new institution.

- My photographs from Ek Balam
are the newest addition to the Mesoamerican Photo Archives project. It
is a wonderful site just north of Valladolid in the state of Yucatan. The
newly uncovered stucco work there is truly amazing, a must-see for every
Maya enthusiast.

- I have also been busy creating web pages for the Middle
American Research Institute, here at Tulane University. The Middle
American Research Institute supports research and publications on the anthropology
and archaeology of Central American and Mexico. On the MARI web pages you
can now find information on ordering their publications through e-mail
as well as current title availability and prices. Additionally, an online
list of the institute's photographic and physical collections is available
through their web site. An online photographic archive of the institute's
extensive Guatemalan textile collection is currently in progress.
