Washing without soap:

1. Squeeze a few drops of lime juice into cold water.
2. Dip the silk into the cold water.
3. Gently rub the silk to clean.
4. Wring the silk very lightly.
5. Hang-dry the silk in a shady area.

Washing with soap:

1. BE VERY CAREFUL to avoid using ANY chemicals.
2. BE VERY CAREFUL to use only MILD SOAP.
3. Again, use only cold water to wash the silk.
4. Do not soak the silk, but dip the silk into the cold water.
5. Gently rub the silk to clean.
6. Wring the silk very lightly.
7. Hang-dry the silk away from sharp, direct sunlight.

As you can see, it is easy to look after good silk.

Silk that is well cared for will look as good as new for many years.
