I am a Master of Arts student on Music Science and Technology at Tulane University. I was born and grew up in Dalian, China. Chinese Mandarin is my native language. I received the M.S. and B.S. degrees both on Electrical Engineering from Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 2005 and 2002.
In 2005 I was accepted to the Tulane University Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department as a PhD. candidate on E.E.. In August of the same year, I was evacuated to Atlanta due to Hurricane Katrina and spent the fall semester at Georgia Tech. In the spring of 2006 I returned to Tulane and joined Music Science and Technology Program till now. So far, I like this program a lot!
My research interests include feature-based sound synthesis, physical modeling synthesis, MIR, electronic music instrument design, etc.
